Heading to Henley!

I'm coxing a four at Henley in July!!! You can read all about the Henley Royal Regatta here.

The four guys I'm coxing are absolutely awesome; I feel so fortunate to be able to go with them.

I need a little bit of help from you guys though!

First, if anyone lives in the Georgetown/DC area and needs a babysitter, PLEASE CONTACT ME! I'm going to be training through June here and would love to have something to do.

Second, I'm going to need below-the-knee dresses! I've seen a few from Boden, but they need to be a bit dressier... Can you guys help? I would love you forever and ever and ever.

xoxo

  2. Calvin Klein has some gorgeous dresses that hit below the knee. I just purchased a spring-preppy style one that is a nice royal blue. You can probably find some great ones at Loehman's near Tennleytown--my sister goes to American and always finds gorgeous designer dresses there for all of her events (she goes to A LOT of dressy events and is a total classy prepster). Goodluck and congrats!

  9. I agree with Jennifer and Preppy 101 on checking Talbot's. You might think they are for the older professional women but I maintain they have a definate classic look...which would go great in England.

  10. Congratulations! I've been reading your blog for a while but felt compelled to comment because I went to Henley in 2008 and had an amazing time. You'll definitely want to wear something bright- we wore a lot of J Crew dressed up with pashminas. I wore a Calvin Klein dress one day but it fell to the middle of my kneecaps and I got turned away! They're that strict about the dress code. Hopefully you'll do so well that you won't have time to be in a dress, you'll be racing til the last day :)

  11. congrats! thats fantastic! i was at my local j.crew outlet last weekend and tried on the cutest below the knee dress-it had a navy and cream pattern, fitted sleeveless top and swingy bottom. it was so sweet and girly! i don't know what the availability will be near you, but if you have a j.crew outlet store nearby check it out-i find the stuff at the outlets tend to be better than their recent regularly priced stuff. good luck!
