Wanderlust

After traveling to Boston this weekend, I’ve been reminded how much I love to travel. You see, I hate planning trips and I hate packing for trips. But once I’m in a new place, I just love it. Now I’m ready to plan all kinds of trips. They’re rejuvenating and fun and good for the soul, you know?
A couple of places on my must visit soon list: Atlanta, Charleston, San Francisco, the Hamptons, Savannah, Philadelphia…

Speaking of places to visit, have you seen these adorable Rebecca Minkoff pouches? I know a certain someone who is most definitely going to need the navy Nantucket one

What places are on your list for traveling?

xoxo

Bows and a Blonde

I'm actually in the process of booking my flight to San Francisco in 2 weeks! WHAT A STRESSFUL THING. Oh goodness, I'm so tempted to just hire someone to do it for me! Nevertheless, I'm so excited to go to the West Coast!
and those bags are so fab!

I am itching for some travel too! I'm so glad to see you had a great time in my adopted city of Boston! I was hoping I'd run into you near Weeks Bridge.

I'm itching to revisit my study abroad experience in London and to go somewhere relaxing and tropical.

Definitely plan a Charleston trip soon…I'd love to share a little about my home town!!

Oh my gosh, YES please come to Atlanta!!!! I'd love to meet you and grab a coffee or dinner or something! It's a great city and there's so much to do…you'd love it!

Plus if you're launching an apparel or accessories line like I have a sneaky feeling you are, the Atlanta Apparel Mart is THE place to be 😉

Oh I LOVE to plan trips. As soon as I get home from one, I have to start planning another! This June I am headed to China, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Thailand for a few weeks. I also really want to travel to Africa and see Cape Town, do a safari and some charity work!

I'm so glad you had such a great time in Boston, I can't imagine living anywhere else but Beacon Hill!

Charleston is a wonderful city to visit! I live here year round now and just walking and exploring all of downtown and the surrounding islands is my favorite part! Definitely let me know if you need tips on the best places to see and places to eat(:

Atlanta is a must!! It's beautiful down here in the fall. And Savannah is wonderful any time of the year. But I'm partial to Georgia in general!

This summer I spent 2 months traveling around Europe and doing whatever my little heart desired, and it was FABULOUS! I love to travel pretty much anywhere that is new to me. While I can't speak for all the cities you mentioned, San Francisco and Charleston are wonderful!

I've been itching to plan another trip ever since we returned from Bali this past summer. A few places on my list: London, Charleston, Martha's Vineyard and Napa. I loved you photos from Boston also, so a trip to visit my sister-in-law there may be in the cards soon!

Atlanta is a fabulous city! You have to come visit in the spring! (That's when I think the city is most beautiful with all the parks and such.)

I live in Savannah and the city is gorgeous and so rich in history! There are great places to eat along with some excellent pubs. I've traveled to Okinawa, Japan, Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Canberra, Australia, Dallas (I LOVED Texas!!) and just spent a week in Hawaii. I'd love to visit Peru, Greece and Italy. Those are definitely my top three.

You would LOVE Charleston! I go to school at University of South Carolina, and have been to visit a ton of times! You would fall in love, it's so historic and has an old-time feel! Especially the downtown area!

wanderlust

Wanderlust.
Have you heard of it?
I hadn’t… until California Funk explained it to me.  And now I can’t get it off my mind.
Wanderlust- a German loanword- meaning a strong desire to travel
CF was showing me all these European (and gorgeous) places he wanted to go.  I dismissed him because I was stressing over some homework assignment.
But then, the concept crept into my subconscience.  The next thing I know, I’m craving to get in a car and drive across the country.
What?
I mean, I seriously want to get in a car and drive for hours and hours and hours.  I want to stop at every lame roadside tourist trap.  I want to have the open road, ten books on tape, and a bag (or two) of twizzlers on my lap.  I want to stand on the border of different states.
Am I crazy?
Has anyone else experienced this wanderlust?
If you could leave all your responsibilities behind, where would you go?
xoxo

I feel this all the time! Especially with the end of school approaching, I just want to hop in my car and say goodbye for a while!

And twizzlers are a MUST for long road trips!

each and every day. Also, I have loved that word since I learned it in 5th grade, our geography teacher thought he should ingrain it in us at an early age. 🙂

I love this word. It must make its way into my everyday vocabulary. And I've always wanted to take off and hit the roads. From windy mountain roads to out west. I would def want to get lost on the back roads of Cornwall in England, or maybe some side streets in London, come to think of it Tuscany sounds good too! Ah now I must go haha.

Hi,

My name is KC Owens, I’m a college student and I love to travel! While cruising the Internet, I found your site and really enjoyed reading your posts. I have been to countries all over Europe with just my backpack and a camera. Since I am a college student and I have significant bills, it can be difficult to find ways to travel the world. However, I have done this several times, with less than ten pounds of luggage and while on a college dime!

I was hoping that you would allow me to write a post for your site to share my tips and tricks with your readers. I put a lot of time into my traveling, it is my biggest passion and I would love to inspire others by sharing my stories, mistakes and triumphs. I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

KC Owens
