Wow. The month flew by didn't it?
For those of you just joining in, I started a blogging book club! The first book was Saving CeeCee Honeycutt.
I absolutely loved this book. It wasn't by any means a literary masterpiece, but it was a quick, light, and charming read. Poor little CeeCee living in that house with her crazy mother and absent father. I wanted to scoop her up and hug her (yes, I know, she's fictional).
I think that this book was the hybrid (maybe a little bit diluted version) of The Secret Life of Bees and The Help.
The book was filled with great moments and characters, but the one that stood out to me was when CeeCee's dad came back with the books. Oh, I almost died.
