i am 25 years old, so a few years removed from college. i did everything right - i chose a solid degree and graduated a semester early to stop incurring student loans. but it is still so easy to get into the "what-ifs" and feel like you can't do something now because of something you didn't do in the past. she has absolutely inspired me - i am young and still have time. it is so unfortunate that she will not.
thanks for sharing and reminding me that i still have time to live out my dreams.
I absolutely loved this piece. I think it's something we can all relate to at some time or another. There's a quote by Tommy Douglas that I feel captures the sentiment of her article perfectly: "courage, my friends; 'tis not too late to build a better world." In my opinion, nothing was ever truer.
oh my goodness. this made me cry.

Such a good read. And so cruelly ironic.
