Tie-Hem

I’ve really been into tie-hem shirts lately! I remember when we were in elementary school, tying t-shirts and shirts at the waist was super in. (We used to use scrunchies to gather the loose part of a tee and make a “tail”… anyone else?)
Taking button downs and tying them at the hem is a super easy way to get more use out of the same shirt. I find that tying the shirts gives them a little more shape! I’ve recently taken a J. Crew chambray button up and tied it over a bright green dress. It was a bit chilly out, but I still wanted to wear a sleeveless dress… I ended up loving the improvisation! I also took a super loose (and by far my favorite) blouse and tied it to wear with my high-waisted shorts.

Old Navy currently has a tons of super cute tie-hem shirts. They’re perfect for lazy summer days! Pair with shorts while running errands. Throw on over bathing suits after a long day of swimming or days out on the boat. Or wear with white jeans and wedges for outdoor dining.

It’s a fun summer look that I think will turn into a staple for my personal wardrobe!!!
Anyone else try this out?

I really like how you styled your shirts for both outfits! I may have to tie up one of my shirts and try out the look!

I love the tie-hem shirt! It's such a fun, very summery look. I really love the chambray one you have from J. Crew and how you tie it up and pair it with your dress.
