Flashback Friday

I’ve been on an absolute mission to clean up my iPhone photo albums. I have a serious problem when it comes to taking pictures and an even bigger problem when it comes to deleting them. (I honestly think it’s a bad omen to delete pictures of people and/or pets. I know, not normal.)
It’s gotten way out of hand.
Oh, have I mentioned that I’m a compulsive about taking screen shots of my phone? I screen shot Google Maps before heading underground so I don’t get lost. I screen shot funny text messages. I screen shot my home screen when I look down at 11:11 or 12:34.
Deleting photos is the best underground subway activity. (It’s where I reorganized my entire phone!)
I was reminded of so many amazing memories as I scrolled through my phone. I find it remarkable that we have the ability to capture these amazing moments with something that fits in our front pocket. (Even Annie Leibovitz votes for the iPhone camera.)
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past that I revisited…
What are some of your favorite memories stored on your phone?

Probably 60% of the pictures on my phone is food related and the other 35% my dog and the remaining 5% is everything else. Haha! #sorrynotsorry

My favorite memories stored on my phone would be the hilarious string of text messages with my Dad. He passed away a little over a week ago, but going back and looking at the happy times we shared even when we weren't living in the same state bring a smile to my face!

I am obsessed with the time 12.34 – I think I get freaked out because I feel like I see it more than any other time of day!

Ugh, I have this horrible problem where I can't take just one photo of something, I have to take multiple pictures of that something so I can scroll through and find the best one in terms of lighting, blur, etc. However, it also means I have 4-5 of every picture I take. I wish I rode the subway to work so I could take care of my exploding camera roll, I have 4,000+ pictures. Eeeek!

I'm with you! I hate deleting pics on my phone because I feel like I am deleting memories! The iPhone is such a great way to record the special moments in life. I recently dumped all my iPhone pics into iPhoto on my MacBook, and then deleted the ones on my phone to make room for picture taking on my trip to The Netherlands and Belgium. Time for new memories to be made, but I can still go back on my computer and remember the old!

I like looking at all the places I've been and having the moments come back to me. Honestly, that's the best thing about pictures for me.
