On My Radar

This past week has been a whirlwind… between a weekend with Victoria in Vermont to a nice little trip to New Orleans with Garrett. I’m exhausted, but definitely the happiest! Although, I’m for sure looking forward to a low-key couple of days this weekend.

Hunter Rainboots for Girls

More from me on this amazing New Orleans trip (spoiler alert: we have never eaten better), but for now… here’s what is on my radar:

ONE // Grove Street Press

I met the girls behind Grove Street Press a couple of years ago when they visited NYC, but I was so looking forward to getting to see their actual store while in New Orleans. It did not disappoint. If you’re in town, you must stop by! I picked up more greeting cards than I really need, a pennant for my mom, a pennant for myself (did you know that I was born in Georgia?!), and the cutest little notebooks that you ever did see.

TWO // Tuckernuck’s Store Opening

Speaking of cute stores, Tuckernuck just opened their first brick and mortar store in Georgetown this week. A huge congratulations to them! Wish I could be there… if you’re in DC, please swing by so I can live vicariously through you!!

THREE // A New Quarterly Magazine for Girls 5-10

I was such a Highlights kid growing up; I also loved the American Girl Magazine. Even still, I so wish something like Kazoo had been around when I was a kid. It sounds like such a fun magazine!! I know I would have loved it.

FOUR // A Touching Report Card

This was probably the best thing I saw on the internet this week. A student with autism failed his exams, but his teacher wrote the sweetest report card that graded him on what really mattered. “These tests only measure a little bit about you and your abilities.” It’s a good reminder for everyone.

FIVE // Jackie Official Trailor

Oh. My. God. I’m not sure that I’m ready for this movie– it looks like it’s going to be award-winning amazing. Natalie Portman already shines in just the trailer!

Anything great to add to the list? Is anyone else going to be laying low this weekend?

I’m really excited for the Jackie movie! The trailer was made so incredibly well! Is it just me or did her voice seem weird though?
