What I Wear... When Working from Home

Today is a glorious day. It's actually pretty crummy and gross outside, but I have NOTHING on the calendar. I try my best to schedule my Fridays this way because there's nothing better than crushing through to-do lists, entering the weekend feeling good, and starting Monday without last week's to-dos.

I also love days with nothing scheduled because I don't have to wear makeup and I can be super casual. Even on days when I do have things planned, I will have my hair and makeup done but when I'm back in my apartment I change into something more comfortable.

So what do I wear when I'm sitting at my desk working all day? This is exactly what I'm wearing today... right down to the slippers!

Easy T-Shirt + Skinny Jeans + Slippers (c/o) while inside + Sperry's for coffee runs and dog walks

Nothing terribly ground-breaking, but I'm all about having easy to wear and style t-shirts to work in. Sometimes I'll wear a college shirt, but these J. Crew factory shirts are inexpensive and comfortable, but throw on a statement necklace and you're good to go for errands. (Also great for weekends with chino shorts and a favorite pair of Jack Rogers!)

  1. Carly this is EXACTLY what my sister wears when she's studying! She's a law student at UM (so she's basically studying all the time) and when it comes to dressing herself for casual no frills kinds of days, she reverts back to the catholic school uniform mentality and wears several iterations of the same outfit. My go to generally is a button-down shirt (think striped or plaid classic shirts from J. Crew Factory) and jeans or shorts depending on the weather.

Oh man I need to send this to my sister! XD

  2. Slippers!! It's usually too hot for those here, but they are so adorable!

  4. Love the look!! I like how versatile it is if you have a change of plans during your lazy days. Although, I prefer leggings over jeans because they are less constricting for sitting at a desk or lounging.

  7. Your work at home outfit is much more put together than mine! I typically just wear a tank top and a pair of norts with my adorable little sheep slippers. I'm definitely going to have to look into those pink slippers, though!

  12. I'm really into the current sweatpants-as-pants trend. I have a great pair by splendid and another by current/elliott, both made in the USA. SO COMFY. They can be dressed up a bit with a button up and wedges, or I just wear them with a tee and comfy sandals!

  13. Skinny jeans are the best thing ever invented, I would keep it above phones and internet. May be a little too much, but you get my point! :P
