Tory Burch Emerson Collection

I have some pretty big savings goals set up for 2015 (2.5 x 2014’s savings), which means my spending has been reevaluated in a big way. I’m focusing on making better everyday choices (e.g. not picking up the extra nail polish I don’t need at every time I go to Duane Reade) for a better bottom line at the end of the week in tandem with allocating a better (i.e. stricter) monthly budget for the bigger ticket items. I’m not giving up my spending budget, I’m just spending better and more thoughtfully throughout the year.
All of this is to say… I definitely do not need a new handbag. (I probably do need to clear more space in my closet if anything.) However… I have to say that the new Tory Burch Emerson Collection has seriously caught my eye. I originally had budgeted in a big purchase of a handbag, as I’ve wanted one of these for years. The more I think about it, the less I actually want to spend that kind of money on just a bag.

I’m torn between the flap messenger and the tote.

I'm a huge fan of the new Emerson Collection too! I have debated purchasing a Saint Laurent "Sac de Jour" tote for quite some time, but every time I go to actually take the plunge, I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a bag. I definitely think these new TB arrivals are great quality classics for a fraction of the price!

Tory Burch has beautiful handbags that you really can't go wrong with, but on the other hand the tote that you've been eyeing for a few years would never go out of style and is something you could carry for years to come. It's a tough call, but I don't think you can really go wrong either way.

These are great!

Would you ever consider talking more about budgeting and how you make the decisions for what makes the cut when making larger purchases (such as a handbag)? Excluding actual dollar amounts, of course. I know sponsored content adds a different dimension than your readers would have access to, but I think it would be really helpful for some of your readers to get a taste for budgeting and a healthy financial lifestyle from one of their favourite bloggers (or their absolute favourite!). Sure, there are financial blogs out there, but sometimes it's nice to hear it from the girl that also loves to buy clothing, handbags, shoes, and that extra nail polish too. 🙂

Shopping for coats, shoes, and bags are my vice (what else is left, you ask? Well, I have more self-control when shopping for pants, tops, dresses, accessories, etc.). I've been telling myself NO MORE COATS, NO MORE SHOES, NO MORE BAGS. So whenever I see items that I covet that fall in these categories, I always ask myself whether or not I already have a similar item. For bags especially, I am trying to only buy bags that are small, but big enough to fit my camera and/or water bottle, so I'd probably go with the tote! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
