J. Crew New Arrivals

You really do have to give credit where credit is due. In this case, it’s J. Crew. After a couple of disappointing years, I think they heard the message loud and clear. It takes a lot for a company to really listen to its customer base, make quick and smart decisions, and change course. I don’t think I’m the only one here, but I have been really impressed with the new stuff.
I know shopping and clothes is pretty trivial when you’re looking at life from a big picture. That said, there’s something about being able to walk into a store and find exactly what you’re looking for… and more. To slip into the fitting room and feel confident and amazing in what you’re wearing.
I think this spring collection is going to be great. When the previews came out there was a lot of gingham and madras and that alone made my heart go aflutter.
The first wave is out. I’m smiling and my wallet is crying…
The new sunglasses are especially amazing. I’m leaning towards this navy pair (!!!) or this classic cat eye.

The Chateau Trench Coat is at the top of my wishlist. I’ve been on the hunt for a trench coat (still on the fence about the Burberry) and I like that this is a very springy and looks easy to wear. I like the hood a lot and like the gingham lining inside even more.
Again, the navy sunglasses are really cute and a little different than what I already have. It looks like they spent a lot of time coming up with their sunglass collection and I’m hoping they’re as great as they look!

I am all about easy to wear t-shirts, stripes are a major bonus. They can look chic with the right cropped jeans and ballet flats and sporty with denim shorts and sneaks.

My closet is already overflowing with sweaters, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist this tipped cable knit sweater. Looks perfect for traveling and would be great with cut offs at the beach or sharp navy slacks for a dressier look.

Finding cute skirts seems to get harder and harder every season. I have a few that I love and wear over and over again. This tweed skirt would fit in with my wardrobe quite well I think.

I 100% agree with you about there being a couple disappointing years. I'm really excited about the new arrivals! Hoping the J Crew I knew and loved is back in full force!

I haven't shopped at Jcrew in years yet I still their credit card. My only concern with new arrivals that seem like they're going back to 90's route when I first fell in love was a) how is quality b) do their prices justify the quality or just inflation. Sadly not buying made in China items has saved my wallet. Until Jcrew makes great quality leather items that are made in Italy, it will be forever until I shop there again.

J. Crew New Arrivals

I went a little crazy at the J. Crew store! I had flipped through the holiday catalog and loved so much of what I saw. Thought I’d share what I got plus some more of my favorite picks here. Because they’re good. Really, really good.
Fair Isle Sweaters | There are a few fair isle sweaters from the past few years that I regret not buying. I guess that’s still sticking with me and now I feel like I can’t let any pass me by! I loved the monochromatic version just as much as the pink and orange option.
Fair Isle Leggings | I have a pair of J. Crew skivvies from 2007 (I think) and they’re still some of my favorite leggings to wear to sleep whenever I’m home in Florida. They’re so comfortable to lounge around in and to wear with favorite fleeces and sweatshirts. With a few upcoming ski trips planned, I think these are perfect for the 9pm bedtimes!
Pom Pom Knit Hat | Dressing for the cold is a skill I’ve had to learn late in life. I think back to what I wore the first few years at Georgetown and can’t believe how I survived. (Especially during our weeklong snowpocalypse. That “puffer” coat was not thick enough!) It’s funny because my high school crew coach wouldn’t let us wear hats during practice (only visors) because we’d overheat in the Florida sun. Now I’m all about hats, keeping the heat in and my ears nice and toasty!
Plaid Pajamas | Can one ever have enough pajamas?
Smartwool Socks | I bought a few for Garrett and myself actually. These are going to be great to wear with boots when it’s snowy and around the house just for warm feet.
The new shoes really caught my eyes… These plaid heels are stunning, but it’s these d’orsay flats are too good.

Oh I love everything! I have about 7 items sitting in my "virtual" cart right now and I'm so excited about all of it. Despite popular opinion, fall/winter is my favorite 🙂

J. Crew New Arrivals

J. Crew!!! Oh, J. Crew! I’ve been really rooting for ya. Yes, I’ve been disappointed the past few years but oh how I’ve been going into the store and checking the website religiously hoping.
I think it’s safe to say this yellow peacoat is going to be something I dream about. My mom actually has been looking for a yellow wool coat for I think three years now so I’m hoping she gets it for visits up here!
The other day I had a spare 20 minutes between meetings and I popped in for a look. After eyeing some things online, I wanted to see what stood out in person. I ended up leaving with a prettttty long wish list. The number one, must-have thing I’m loving is this buffalo check shirt; they had a popover version last year and I regrettably missed out on it. I’ve decided that this shirt in every color would be a great idea. A not-so-fun, but definitely need right now for me is sweaters. My cable knit sweaters from years and years ago have seen better days. I wish these weren’t cashmere just from a price-standpoint but considering other brands’ cashmere sweaters that I’ve looked into, they’re still a good deal. Two great staples J. Crew does best: the quilted vest and the perfect plaid shirt.

I’m excited, I think this is such a good start for a revival.

Your thoughts on the new arrivals?!

I would love to see a post on cable knit sweater options! I spent all of last winter looking for the perfect one (under $80) but had no luck!

I spotted that photo from J.Crew the other day, and oh my gosh it is perfection! Now the question is…could I ever look this effortlessly chic wearing two sets of stripe shirts and a yellow jacket?! If only. But I'll still try and most definitely be picking up some of J.Crew's new arrivals.

I've been a loyal J. Crew shopper for the past 15+ years, even with the past few years being rather dismal. I lean towards their classics and jewelry, and finally invested in one of their puffers this past weekend. That yellow peacoat is beautiful, but I actually love it in the deep pacific/cobalt color more.

J. Crew New Arrivals

J. Crew has released new arrivals. While they’re certainly not for the peak of summer, the layers are perfect to transition some of our summery pieces (hello favorite chambray shirt) into the somewhat cooler days and nights of late summer.
I love this layered look!
Some of my favorite Looks We Love.
I love love love this tipped silk collar!

I just really love everything about this look.
What a great way to transition shorts throughout the season. (Plus, the sneaks are adorable.)

I like the simple jeans/blazer combo with the fun printed shoe!

I really love J. Crew's take on fall style this year! Some of my favorites from the new styles are the painter button boatneck tee, the scalloped ballet flat, and the cute notebooks they just got in!
