Summer Essentials

After the success of the wardrobe staples post, I started to get requests for season-specific “staple” posts. What better season to kick off with than summer. Fall and summer are definitely my favorite seasons to dress for, but summer is hands down the easiest in my opinion. Just being able to throw on a dress and sandals without worrying about tights or fussing with boots or matching a coat is as easy as it gets.
With these pieces below, you can really put together a ton of outfits to get you through the entire summer.

Did I leave one of your favorite summer staples off the list?!

wondering what you thought of the comfort of the Superga sneaks vs keds vs Sperry Seacoast vs The white Converse you had (sorry that's a lot of comparisons). I do a lot of walking when i travel and topsiders don't always work out well.

I think the Superga & Converse are on the same level comfort wise…. both feel great on and definitely can be walked in a lot. They also look sporty without being full on running shoes. But they each take some time breaking in.

I only tried on the Sperry ones in the store. They're SUPER comfortable! (They just didn't have the traditional sneaker look that I wanted.)

For Keds, I've had pairs in the past and for some reason they always feel good for a couple of hours and then my feet just feel sore. I think it's because they're flat. Could have just been the particular style I had though!

Such a good list! I think the only thing I'd add is a silk camisole- works with white jeans, skirts, and shorts!

LOVE this list. Even though fall is my favorite time of year, it makes me so excited for summer. I would add Kiel James Patrick's scallop sleeveless oxford, though. It's so versatile, you can dress it up tucked into a skirt or dress it down with a pair of chino shorts.

I bought those Soludos wedges recently, and I love the look of them, but they were falling off my heels as I walked – have you had that problem? Maybe I need a different size..? Have you come across any similarly priced wedges that look like these? They're just so cute!

Summer Essentials

With Memorial Day almost here, it’s the unofficial start of summer. That means weekend jaunts, dinners al fresco, and a cute wardrobe. I’m ready to tuck away all my heavy sweaters and pull out all my swimsuits.

Some little pieces of clothing that are inspiring my summer wardrobe:
