Polo Match in Greenwich

On Sunday, I was invited to attend the East Coast Open with Town and Country. I took over their Instagram story for the day and had such a fun time catching up with friends, meeting new people, and watching a little polo.

The heatwave we’ve been having finally broke overnight Saturday. Eighty degrees is still quite warm, but compared to the nighty-plus we’ve been having it felt amazing! And, a warm, post-Labor Day event was hard to dress for. I’m all for white jeans after Labor Day, but can’t get behind white shoes or white dresses, so that was crossed off the list. Lilly dresses felt a little too beachy. When I saw this skirt while shopping with my mom, my vision started to come together, though.

(A note about the sizing, the skirt runs very large. I bought the 0 and had to have it taken in a few inches… so I’d go down at least one size! If you have to have it tailored, there are existing darts that make it easy to take in despite the pleats.)

In my head, I wanted to wear a long sleeve blouse but knew it wouldn’t work with the heat. I found this blouse last minute, and I wonder why I didn’t get it sooner. And if you’re looking for great blouses for work, this would layer perfectly under a blazer!!

I wanted brown lace-up flats for fall and figured they’d work for this event (flats for grass!). I debated between this affordable pair and a leather pair. I went leather!

I’ve had this hat tucked away all summer and finally found an outfit to wear it with. The cream bow went perfectly with my cream blouse.

I love this look, Carly! This green skirt isn’t something I would normally go for, but I really love the way you styled it. And that green is such a gorgeous color.

I feel like this skirt would be great for the upcoming holiday season as well! I’ve been super drawn to pieces with pleats lately and this skirt is no exception 🙂

Your outfit is so so cute! I love every part of it (especially that skirt and those shoes) and how you and Garrett match so subtly 🙂 So pretty and classy, as always!
