Bermuda Shopping

It’s been years (over 20!) since I had visited Bermuda last. I remember pretty random things since I was so young, but one thing that I absolutely couldn’t forget was the colorful buildings. I think I assumed that I had imagined the sorbet colored buildings as extra charming and was surprised at how accurate my memory was. It’s not that some buildings are cute and colorful– they are all cute and colorful with pops of white here and there.

Carter and I went off in search of lunch on Saturday afternoon and took these photos along the way. This blue tunic is the perfect thing to pack for a vacation. It’d be cute with denim shorts and a bathing suit on your way to the pool or with white jeans for dinners out. (And even though I try my very best for sun safety, it’s also loose enough to be comfortable over a sunburn.)

The best part of the tunic– and what initially drew me in– are the bows on the sleeves.

Beach Tote

Whenever I travel someplace beachy, I always pack at least one pair of Jack Rogers. I bought these same sandals in white last year and added the brown to my closet right before my Bermuda trip. They’re so comfortable. Even if you don’t love the regular Jacks, you should give these a try.

And what’s a vacation outfit without a floppy hat and oversized beach bag? (A quick side note, someone asked on Snapchat how I travel with floppy hats on planes. If I can, I carry it on with me and try not to let it get squished. If I can’t, I fill the hat with underwear, socks, and bathing suits and then pack it as safely as I can inside my suitcase, brim down. Filling it up helps keep the shape!)

Straw Hat

This striped bag is going to be a constant companion of mine this summer. It has three super roomy compartments, including a zipped one in the middle with a few pockets to stay organized. Throw everything in there including your biggest camera and the three novels you plan on devouring.

Bermuda looks so fun! All I think of though is the scary “Bermuda Triangle” and ships going missing. It’s good to know there’s something there other than sunken pirate ships haha. Carter takes beautiful photos! That’s one of my fav things about your blog is your clean layout and photos! The undies and socks trick with hats works like magic! I do it all the time. -Katie

Would you recommend getting the Madewell blouse in an XS or a S for someone about your size/stature?

Do you think these Jacks break in and mold to your feet as much as the regular Jacks?
