Recent Purchases

I’ve been doing a little too much shopping as of late. I blame it on my excitement about upcoming trips. I’m kind of freaking out with how much travel I’ve scheduled for myself, but also… I’m pumped because everything is going to be great. I’m in Baltimore this weekend for the Preakness Stakes, then Paris next week, then DC for my five-year college reunion (how?!), and then a quick jaunt to Nantucket.

Today I thought I’d share some of the top things I’ve purchased recently and already LOVE.

Purchases

Faux Leather Scalloped Tote | I’ve featured this a few times on the blog already. When I first spotted it online, I ended up buying two colors thinking I’d return one. (I got the ivory and a light blue which appears to be sold out.) Well, it turned out to be my favorite tote of the summer so far. I love that it’s structured and stands up on its own when I put it down. There are also little feet which you wouldn’t expect for a $48 bag.

Front Tie Striped Tee | If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ve probably seen this shirt a few times already. It’s SO comfortable, and the front tie makes it a little more interesting than a plain striped tee. It comes in a yellow stripe and solid white and gray too.

Gingham Bow Dress | This was on the blog earlier this week, but I hadn’t had a chance to try it on yet. The dress arrived on Thursday, and it’s absolutely darling in person. It has pockets, and the bow at the waist cinches at the perfect spot.

Eyelet Dress | Okay, if you get one thing, make it this dress. It comes in three colors and is only $68. There are pockets (winning) and a smocked back for a perfect fit. It’s a little on the shorter side, but honestly just perfect for a flirty summer dress.

Tie-Neck Top | I stalked this shirt when I spotted it online. I got the light blue one which has sadly sold out. The striped is just as cute. The fun part is that you can tie the bow in the back (as shown) or tied back around in the front.

Ballet Flats | These shoes have also been on my blog recently, but I wanted to touch on them again. If you’ve seen my Instagram stories recently, you saw that I ended up purchasing black, navy, and light pink pairs. They feel like actual slippers they are so comfortable! I’ve been wearing them every day it seems.

Vonna Dress | I’m wearing this dress today to the Preakness Stakes! It’s super comfortable and flowy. I also found a similar dress under $100 too.

Ruffle Dress | One more dress under $100. The ruffles on this dress make me so happy. It fits a little on the small side, especially in the back/chest so I’d size up if you have broader shoulders or a larger chest.

Love these picks! My favorite recent purchase would be my Bembien belly bag for summer.

I’ve also been doing a lot of shopping lately. I think it’s all of the weather change! Are you going to be doing any meet ups while you’re in DC!?

Would you say that the ballet flats are more comfortable than the Sam Edelman “Felicia” ballet flats?

They’re equal in comfort but they definitely have a different “fit” and style. These have a more classic, slip-on look while the Sam Edelman’s are more form-fitting. They’re both cushy though!

LOVE that Vonna dress, I’ve got a summer wedding to go to and I really want something in that shape for the day ceremony, but perhaps a little less white. It’s never cool to wear white to a wedding

I was in Baltimore yesterday, I’m going to Paris next week as well (June 1-5, then Iceland), and I live in DC! We are on the same travel schedule 🙂 although I can only daydream about Nantucket at the moment. Haha. I can’t wait to read about what you’re doing in Paris! I went to your friend Daphne’s blog to get inspiration for my Paris trip, since this is my second time there and I needed fresh ideas.

Safe travels!
