On My Radar

This week was good for the soul. I extended my Nantucket visit by a day and packed in as much sun and fun as I could with some of my very favorite friends. I did get some work done so I don’t feel completely overwhelmed opening my laptop again… but I didn’t collect as many links for my On My Radar post! It’s going to be short and sweet today.

Nantucket Bike

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Preschool Sweethearts Marry 20 Years Later!

This proposal story warmed my heart. I’m such a sucker for good wedding proposals, and this one was extra adorable.

TWO // Tropical Stripe One-Piece

I am ALL ABOUT great one pieces right now. I’ve been trying to be extra careful about my exposure to sun and I love how easy one pieces are to wear. Plus they’re making the cutest, non-frumpy suits right now. This striped new arrival from J. Crew caught my eye!

THREE // Halo Top Ice Cream

I must have been living under a rock because I only recently discovered Halo Top ice cream. Sometimes when I’m working after dinner, I start to get a major sweet tooth. Halo Top ice creams have fewer calories than other brands. I have been testing flavors and some are definitely better than others, but it’s an overall good choice when I’m desperate for something sweet. (I think the plain chocolate is my fave.)

FOUR // Sunscreen

With summer season in full swing, I have been getting a ton of questions about my favorite sunscreens. Honestly, I’ll use just about anything, and I’ve never had an issue with even the cheapest screens from the drug store. That said, I started using Supergoop after trying it in Aspen while skiing. I bought the HUGE dispenser to keep on my bathroom counter to apply every day, and I LOVE it. They also have all different versions depending on your preferences and needs.

FIVE // Lilly Workout Pants

I do not need more workout pants… I do not need more workout pants… I do not need more workout pants. BUT, if I did……… I think I’d have to get a few of these bright Lilly pants. I have no qualms working out in bright patterned pants at the gym. I kind of think it helps me get out of the door too.

SIX // Norbert the Dog

I spotted this little guy on Facebook and couldn’t get over his adorable face. That tongue!!!

I discovered Halo Top about a month ago and it’s been a total game changer for me! I’m trying to limit sweets/carbs so the fact that Halo Top has less carbs/a lot more protein than other ice creams is so impressive. Not to mention the ingredients are all things I recognize 🙂

Short and sweet is perfectly good! Enjoy your time off, Carly!
I’ve been seeing the Halo Top ice cream on IG quite a bit. I have to check if it’s available in Canada.
Good to know about the sunscreen. I’m heading to Florida in just a few weeks, and it’s definitely essential! I’ve been using Sunbum and Ombrelle and I like them both.
Have a great weekend!

I love the idea of buying the sunscreen in bulk!! That would end up being so much cheaper lol Living in Florida with such pale skin costs a lot in sunscreen hahah
Have a great weekend! xx

I’m obsessed with all of the new workout pants that Lilly is coming out with! When I was in store the other day, they had them all spread out on a table and it was so aesthetically pleasing…I almost wanted to actually go to the gym 😉

I am seriously OBSSESSED with one pieces- I think they are way more flattering that a 2 piece and they’re more fun too. Too bad the amazing Jcrew one is sold out in most sizes (I guess after yesterday’s 40% all swim sale! What a steal!)

Love the links (the proposal was sooo cute!) As for sunscreen I find the best ones to use are the ones that say sand won’t stick to you after spraying. I find they are the less greasy option of all and I keep a bottle in my beach bag but also at my front door so I can spray myself before I leave the house everyday! xx Rox-Anne Celebrating This Life

I love Supergroup’s Everyday Body Lotion! The oil on the other hand made my skin go crazy – wouldn’t recommend that for sensitive skin types 🙂 I had fun following you along in Nantucket. Looked like so much fun! Have a great weekend!

I had Supergoop come in a Birchbox and immediately fell in love with it.

You’re so lucky that most sunscreens are fine on your skin! I struggle so much with oiliness and breakouts if I use the wrong one! I’m currently trying out NARS SPF 30 tinted moisturizer, Glossier’s new everyday sunscreen, and Lancer’s SPF 30. So far Lancer is really great, and I have yet to try Glossier, but I’m hoping I’ll like NARS because it’s nice to have a little tint occasionally!

Definitely gonna have to try that supergoop sunscreen! Currently in the market for a good facial one and also the fact that it comes in a dispenser makes it more likely that I’ll put it on my body too!
As for halo top, I love it! My favorites are peanut butter cup, s’mores, chocolate chip cookie dough, and red velvet!

Carly, for those prints I seriously think you can make room for one or two more pairs of workout pants. I am obsessed and will definitely be ordering some.
