Seersucker in ‘Sconset

Happy August! I know there’s plenty more of summer left (🙌🏻), but there’s something about the beginning of August that makes the back to school/end of summer feeling come back. Our school always started in the first or second week of August, and I think that has just always stuck with me. Half of me wants to hold onto the warm, long nights and the other half is tempted to run to my local office supply store and stock up on pencils.

This is also going to be a HUGE month for the blog and me; I have a couple of big announcements coming up. I was also looking at my editorial calendar and let’s just say, the summer lull is officially over.

In the meantime, I still have a bunch of outfits from Nantucket to share. I think being able to wear dresses every day is one of my top five favorite things about summer. Easiest outfits ever!!!

Side note: I did not feel well this day at all. I think I could have stayed in pajamas curled up on the couch in the air conditioning. But I couldn’t waste a day in my favorite place on earth, so I sucked it up and went off to show Carter around ‘Sconset.

BLUE SEERSUCKER CATALINA DRESS

Tuckernuck sent me this seersucker dress, and I love it. Anything that laces up (besides sneakers) is generally not my style. I can make an exception for seersucker though.

Isn’t the scoop back nice? The straps are also adjustable!

Yes, yes, the dress is cute… How about that whale weathervane though?!

Loving your dress! Also, I can’t wait to hear your announcements this month – eek! I know what you mean about August feeling close to the end, it’s weird because although all the schools in England have only just broken up for summer – I feel like we’re nearing autumn more and more, too! Ha!

I hope you have a lovely Tuesday,
Michael

I can’t believe I missed this dress on Tuckernuck (I seriously browse the site every other day). I feel you about the lace-time style in general, but you pull it off very elegantly!

I’m excited to see what you have in store! 🙂 I’m usually not one for lace-up clothing either, but you make this look so cute. Those last two photos are darling, and so classically Nantucket. Love it!

I go back to school in Connecticut soon and I know I’ll soon be wishing this weather could last forever! Excited for fall outfit posts though 🙂

Can’t wait to see what’s in store next for your blog! I always love your big announcements. I personally never feel like Summer is over until September (because I didn’t start school until after Labor day) so I’m still clinging to the sunshine and outdoor activities. Gorgeous dress!

So cute! Makes me definitely want to check out Nantucket soon too. I am so ready for fall though- it is way too hot down here in VA.
