Fall Wedding Dresses

Do you guys have a lot of weddings coming up? Most of my friends are either already married or not in relationships, so I’ve been in a weird “in between” stage as far as weddings. I am going out to San Fransisco in the middle of October for the wedding of one of my boyfriend’s friends.

I think finding appropriate dresses for the summer is so much easier than fall weddings! Rent the Runway is almost always my go-to destination though because I can get a super nice dress without having to spend a ton of money. For the wedding in October, I actually ended up hunting down a dress I had first worn through Rent the Runway earlier this summer. I just loved the way it fit and wanted to purchase it. It’s an older dress, but I found it in black on Amazon for a fraction of the original price (🙏🏻). I know it’s going to be a gown I rely on many times over the years.

Wedding Guest Dresses

this dress is gooooooorgeous!

I also have a few other events coming up, and I’m trying to round out my closet with a few staple dresses. I went through what I have and, well, I think I’ve grown out of a few styles. I just bought this bell sleeve dress and this dress; hoping they both work out, I’ll keep you posted.

Anyway… rounding up some dresses that would be perfect for fall weddings. I’ve included all kinds of styles for different dress codes.

(Just a quick tip, Anthropologie’s dress selection right now is on fire!!! So many great picks.)

Let me know if you find something for an event you’re going to!

Just bought the red Eliza J. dress for my boyfriend’s sister’s Charleston wedding in a few weeks!

Now I just have to pick a bag and earrings…

Love the selection Carly – you are the best.

I’m loving this Eliza J dress from Nordstrom: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-bow-crepe-a-line-dress/4335542?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=BLACK

Also, the black is sold out and I don’t care for the poppy color, but the Do+Be Blythe dress from Tuckernuck is very stylish, with a ruffled stand up collar and bow at back of neck.

Velvet is a huge trend for autumn and winter this year, and one of my favorite fabrics. In navy: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vince-camuto-velvet-burnout-sheath-dress/4675371?cm_mmc=google-_-search_acq-_-927799403-_-47889941433_28521ea3-2161-4990-913a-b43f0b4a0450&cm_mmca1=dsa-297221101809_b&gclid=CNPW4bb60dYCFUm5wAoda3AMiA
Black: 1) http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-lace-velvet-sheath-dress/3801892?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=BLACK

This wine one is probably more a date night or girls’ night dress:

And this one is lace, not velvet, but it’s very pretty (and on sale!) There is a similar one by the same maker in navy lace over navy and black lace over nude as well:
