On My Radar

It feels particularly great getting to Friday this week. I don’t even know what was particularly wrong with me, I just felt a little “off.” To combat that feeling, I upped my water intake and did a few extra minutes of meditation every day. It’s not a cure-all and some weeks are just a little rougher than others.

Regardless of all that, I’m thrilled it’s the first day of fall today and I’m ready for a fun weekend. I’m meeting one of my friend’s newborn baby girl (🙏🏻) and then I’m seeing Hamilton for the second time on Saturday! I’m hoping that I can do a major deep clean of my apartment on Sunday to set me up for success for the following week.

Fishkill Farms

My annual trip to Fishkill Farms happened this week too. I meant to go this summer for berry picking but couldn’t make it happen with my travel schedule. It’s my favorite place for “pick your own”– highly recommend it as always! I wore this sweater (c/o) and this skirt.

Here’s what was on my radar this week:

ONE // Darci Lynne Ventriloquist

Every time Darci performs on America’s Got Talent, she gets better and better! I know I’ve put her on here before, but this one takes the cake. (And she won!!!!) If this isn’t talent, I don’t know what is. It blows my mind that she’s singing with her mouth CLOSED!

TWO // Origins Original Skin

I’m on Origins press mailing list and it’s the best. I have yet to try one of their products that I don’t like. However, some I like more than others and this is one of those. At first, I wasn’t sure what it really was. The mailer said it could be used as a moisturizer or a makeup primer. It’s supposed to moisturize and make your skin feel “matte.” I didn’t understand until I used it. WOW. It’s kind of like a primer and a moisturizer in one. I couldn’t stop touching my face after using it; my skin felt so amazing. I’d give it five out of five stars!!!

THREE // 90s Hair Products

This video kills me! I was never into the hair accessories tools that were super popular in my childhood. I do, however, remember all of the commercials. It’s so funny to watch these teens test the products out!

FOUR // Pretty Pasta

This may be the most random entry ever, but there’s an entire Tumblr blog dedicated to beautiful photos of pasta. The first way to my heart is pizza and the second is pasta. Scroll at your own risk…

FIVE // Silk Plaid Dress

How gorgeous is this dress? Tory’s collection has been pretty spot on lately. I’m not sure I want to pay more than $400 for it though, so I’m hoping it goes on sale soon. (Or if you know of a similar one, let me know!)

SIX // Harry Styles’ Fleetwood Mac Cover

Harry Styles can do no wrong. I can’t believe I’m missing his concert in NYC next week. (I’m actually not a concert kind of girl, but I think I’d make an exception for Harry… if only tickets weren’t a gazillion dollars!) His Fleetwood Mac cover gave me chills.

SEVEN // Rescued Lambs

Ready for cuteness overload? Three baby lambs were rescued and now they’re living a golden life. I can’t stop watching the videos of the lambs running around. They’re so freaking cute.

I remember all these 90’s commercials growing up. Pretty certain I wanted every single one of these but the parents wouldn’t get it. I see why now! Haha.

I’m very happy I did not skip this post because I looked into the Origins Original Skin product and ordered it for myself! I’m so excited to try it because I have been searching for a face product of a quality moisturizer I could see the difference in. Love this!

Origins is the best, I want to give the new primer/moisturizer a try! I am also obsessed with their charcoal mask!
