A Touch of Leopard

You guys know me (particularly my style) pretty well, and I think it’s safe to say that I love to feel comfortable, which often translates to casual. Give me a pair of jeans and a cozy sweater, and I’m one happy lady.

Despite that, and even though I work from home, I think one of my favorite closet staples is a pair of black pants. They’re not the most fun thing to purchase, but when an event or meeting pops up, I’m always glad I have a pair ready to go. My beloved J. Crew Minnie pants have seen better days, and since they retired the style, I’ve branched out to their Cameron Pant. I didn’t think I could love a pant more than the Minnie, but wow these are GOOD. They hug in the right places, lay perfectly in others, and have just enough stretch for a comfortable fit.

Black pants can be worn in a so many different ways. For a quick meeting, I wanted to go super simple with the outfit and then playful with my shoes. I’ve grown pickier with prints and prefer just a touch of it. How cute are these leopard loafers from Kate Spade?! I love the block heel and the pearl detailing. They’re fun but still chic.

I don’t know what’s gotten into me: I’ve been wearing so much black lately. I don’t hate it.

Longchamp

Also, I have to make a note about my Longchamp. I’ve had it since college and used it a ton. It was tucked away for a while, and I just pulled it out again. It’s such a good everyday handbag; I kind of forgot how much I loved it. Another closet staple for sure.

Okay while this wasn’t my intention when I started writing this post, this might as well be retitled “My Favorite Closet Staples.” Because a white oxford shirt and this sweater both top my list, too. I have the sweater in five colors– it’s great for layering and wearing on its own.

Do you have any budget-friendly (preferably under $100) leopard-print shoes you’d recommend?
