It’s a Blizzard, Harry!

Soooo… I really thought we weren’t going to get any snow this weekend. I thought it was all hype! And then the forecast seemed to shift a bit more north and wouldn’t you know, we got a ton of snow. I am definitely happy about it now, but I know that this means we’ll have…

Snow Days

When I grew up in Massachusetts, getting that snow day call was the best. I don’t remember it happening often, which made it that much more special. And then in Florida we (obviously) had no snow days. (Although, Hurricane days were absolutely a dime a dozen.) Well, snow days as an adult are not fun….

Lake Placid Snapshots

Carter got invited to go up to Lake Placid and she asked if I wanted to come along. I couldn’t say no! I haven’t been since middle school. My parents’ friends have a stunning home on Mirror Lake and we visited a couple of times. I have great memories of the town and the lake. Going…

Inbox Zero

I take email very seriously. It’s definitely the most influential form of communication right now and I think it’s something that should be managed in a professional way. But it’s overwhelming. I love how the whole street seems super quiet and muted after a snowfall. I love watching snow accumulate on…

Warm Shoes!

This weekend was a winter wonderland. I had no idea it was supposed to snow beyond a few flurries. My friend was coming out to Connecticut for the day and needless to say, our plans were put on the backburner. I couldn’t believe how much snow we got! I was so thankful for my Subaru– it drives so well in the snow. We quickly made the decision to get off the roads and go home.

Adulting Gifts

I know this seems like such a boring gift guide… but I know a lot of you are in the same boat that I am. My sister, who turns 27 (how?!?!) next month, and I were just talking about how we’re officially old because our idea of perfect gifts are useful things like vacuum cleaners….

How I Organize Everything

So much of what I do on a daily basis happens online. Because of this, I’ve perfected a bunch of systems to keep me incredibly organized. As a self-employed person, I find it so so so important to be as organized as possible. There is often no one else to pick up the slack or…
